Work is underway for the 9th Annual Jaguar Steak Supper and Auction to be held August 15, 2009 at Blue Springs South High School.
The purpose of the auction is to help provide finances to offset the cost of running a first class football program at BSSHS. The steak supper provides an opportunity to bring the Jaguar football family (coaches, players and families) together with the community for one night to share in recognizing our team and program as a community effort.
The First Auction Turn In will be held on Thursday July 2, from 6:30-8:30 at Blue Springs South High School in the ISS room (downstairs). Please enter in the South East Door (currently marked Main Entrance).
For additional information about the upcoming auction, please select BOOSTER CLUB -> AUCTION NEWS from the menu above.
What you are visiting is Version 1.0 of the new Blue Springs South Jaguars Football Website. Something Old (the banner at the top) and A Lot of Things New (the layout, menus, etc.) Not all pages are complete, some will fill in as the 2009 season gets underway. Please visit often to see what's new!
MoKan All-Star Game
June 18, 2009: DEFENSE! One word can sometimes say all that needs to be said about an event. DEFENSE! That is how Missouri All Stars coach Phil Lascuola (Hogan Prep) summed up the game which saw his squad defeat the Kansas All Stars 10-7. "The defense was unbelievable," Coach Lascuola told the KC Star. "Anything we tried worked"
The 18th Annual GKCFCA Metro Classic was hosted by Missouri for the first time at Larry Stewart Memorial Stadium on the campus of Blue Springs South High School. The Jaguars placed five players on the Missouri squad: linebackers Randy Haller and Armahn King, nose guard Jake Scarbo, offense guard Travis Shipman and running back Winston Wright. Winston was the leading rusher for the Missouri squad with 45 yards on 7 attempts.
The win by Missouri puts the all time series at 10-7 in favor of Kansas with one rainout. Feedback from the sponsoring organization was very positive according to Greg Jacobson, BSS Football Booster President. "The volunteers were coming out of the wood work. We had people arbitrarily show up that I had no idea were coming. They came just to help" said Jacobson.
