Update: July 24th, 2010
We are just three weeks away from the 10th annual Steak Supper and Auction. Baskets are coming in and online ticket sales have been brisk. Please keep up the good work! Let's bring this event home with a bang. GO JAGS!
Update: June 29th, 2010
The Jaguar Football Booster Club proudly presents a new way to sign up and pay for the steak supper and auction. For the first time, the Booster Club will be accepting online payments for tickets and donations to this year's event. All transactions will be handled securely through Pay Pal. You will be able to use your credit card or Pay Pal account to complete the sale.
If you would like to register and pay online, please select the Register Online button below.
If you prefer NOT to register online, your Auction Team Leader will make arrangements to collect your money and distribute your auction tickets.
Update: June 22nd, 2010
Planning activities are in full swing for the 2010 Auction. As you know (or may NOT know!), the annual auction is the only fund raising event for the football program at South. Proceeds from the auction are used to improve the on- and off-field experience for our players.
A packet of information describing the auction, how it works and important dates was handed out at the Meet the Coaches Night in May. If it has been misplaced or you did not make the kick off meeting and would like to review it or make a copy for yourself, Select Me!
For a copy of the cover letter from Coach Oder you might need to approach local merchants for donations to the auction, Pick Me!
NOTE: If you have trouble opening the above files, you may need to download Adobe® Reader®. You can do that by clicking the icon at left in the Resources section.
If you have ANY questions concerning the auction, please contact one of the co-chairs:
Randy Sanderson - randy.sanderson@sbcglobal.net
Dave & Amy Sullivan - woodrenew@gmail.com or asullivan@bssd.net
Coach Courter wanted to share the following picture, taken the day of the Spring Workathon.

Since the last auction, funds were allocated to buy three new, turf-friendly sleds (one for blocking, two for tackling)

In addition to the sleds, new road (White) game pants have been procured along with weight lifting T-shirts for the boys with original-design logos by Gregg Gerlich and Darren Adkison.
Each year a number of senior players are recognized and rewarded for a job well done. For 2009-2010, the winners were:
| Player | Honor | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Dean Baker | Mr. Jaguar | $300.00 |
| Dominique Wright | Mr. Offense | $300.00 |
| Andrew Dougherty | Mr. Defense | $300.00 |
| Cameron Davis | Tylor Tayrien Award | $750.00 |
| Cameron Davis | BSSHS Football Booster Club Scholarship | $750.00 |
On Saturday, May 1st, 2010, the football players and coaches from Blue Springs South High School performed five hours of community service for people in the Blue Springs, MO area. Much of the work consisted of raking leaves, general yard work, and picking up trash for elderly citizens, along with different projects throughout the parks and city limits of Blue Springs. Blue Springs Senior Citizens received top priority for having work done and received this work free of charge.
Please take a moment and look at the list of individuals and businesses whose sponsorship and donations helped make the Work-a-thon such a successful event.
